The name Peaceful Haven Homes came long before the company did.
Home is where people gather with family, celebrate milestones, recharge after long days, and find comfort. It's the place people return to at the end of the day, and for many, it's where they find peace.
Improving that space should reflect the purpose it serves.
Construction, however, has its own reality. Hidden conditions are uncovered, plans evolve, and new decisions become part of the journey. Those moments are simply part of creating something that didn't exist before.
Every process has a purpose. Ours is to help homeowners navigate those moments with clarity and confidence, so they can enjoy watching their vision take shape while knowing where the project is headed and why each decision matters.
That's the story behind Peaceful Haven Homes. While we improve homes, our purpose is to create an experience that reflects what home means in the first place.

I've always believed that good decisions begin with good questions.
My background is in engineering, where I learned to understand how things work, why they work, and how one decision affects the next.
That way of thinking became the foundation of Peaceful Haven Homes.
Every project begins with a vision, but reaching that vision depends on the decisions made along the way. The questions we ask, the conversations we have, the plan we create, and the details we understand before construction begins all influence the final outcome.
I've learned that the best projects aren't remembered only for how they look when they're finished. They're remembered because every important decision along the way had a purpose.
Chief of Operations
Some people learn construction by specializing in one trade. Tayna Smith learned it by building projects from the ground up.
Over the past 25 years, he has worked in nearly every stage of the construction industry—from residential and commercial windows and doors to supervising the construction of luxury custom homes in Southern California. As his career progressed, he earned his California General Contractor's license and became a Senior Project Manager, leading the construction of multimillion-dollar custom homes ranging from 10,000 to more than 45,000 square feet.
As Chief of Operations at Peaceful Haven Homes, Tayna oversees construction from start to finish, working closely with our team and trade partners to keep projects organized, maintain our standards, and deliver the experience our clients expect.
In 2024, Tayna and his wife relocated to Tennessee and joined Peaceful Haven Homes, bringing decades of custom home experience and the same level of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail that defined his career.
